JMH Group’s Trade Upgrade Program is designed for:

• Light Vehicle Mechanics or Mechanical Fitters who are ready for a challenge and are seeking a pathway into the Mining or Road Transport Industry. Advancing existing skills and qualifications to become a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic.
• Auto Electricians or Boilermakers seeking to complete a trade upgrade as a Heavy Duty-Diesel Mechanic.
• Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanics seeking to complete a trade upgrade as an Auto Electrician or Boilermaker.

The Trade Upgrade Program is a structured training program with a minimum 2 year commitment.

JMH Group provide opportunities to prepare Road Transport Mechanics for work in the Mining Industry at our Geraldton workshop. The Mine Site Ready Program advances your skills and experience thanks to the exposure gained while working on mining equipment in a controlled and supported environment.

During the program you have the option to work either full time or on an 8/6 Roster and we will support you to obtain tickets, licenses and inductions to become Mine Site ready. As a part of the Mine Site Ready Program you will be required to share your road transport mechanical skills and knowledge on the job with up-and-coming local mechanics.

All on the job training is provided at our Geraldton Workshop for the first 3-6 months initially with options to work in Field Service or Mine Site after this period.

JMH Group’s Mature Aged Apprenticeship Program is designed for people who might already be working in the industry but don’t currently hold any formal qualifications. This program is also open to anyone with a mechanical aptitude and genuine desire to gain experience and qualifications working in the Mining and Road Transport Industry.

JMH Group provides on the job training and support while completing your qualifications in your chosen trade. At JMH Group you will gain exposure to a variety of mobile plant and equipment – upon completion of your apprenticeship you will know exactly where your passion lies.
